THE ITCH
We couldn’t let go. Spring came and our feet were destined for sand & surfboards. The waves & beach fires were 11/10 days. But we’re mountain people and thoughts turned to snow-capped peaks. Philanthropic maybe, but whatever, we wanted to capture & share the thrill of riding through snow-drenched, towering peaks.
DESIGN
We started with a high spec camera, housed in a sandwich box and attached to a kayak helmet with cable ties. Spinal deformation ended that design path. Cameras got smaller and better and with a lot of hardware modifications, and after a decade of innovating, we can now film any piste, in perfectly stabilised format.
PLAYER
On their own, the videos offer the most realistic insight to a ski area. The films are first person perspective and 360, allowing the user to get closer to the action. But to put the user in control, we developed a video player that allows the user to select their path, through augmented reality markers.
